REQUIRED MANAGER/COACH TRAINING

Diamond Leader Training - This training is Required for all Managers/Coaches/Board Members. It provides an understanding of the impact that mental, social, and emotional well-being has in youth sports through detailed information, interactive scenarios, and a variety of additional resources.

Abuse Awareness Training - Required Training with Little League

Virginia Mandated Reporter (CWSE 5692 - Recognizing & Reporting Child Abuse & Neglect) - This is mandatory thru the state in order to work or coach children. This currently is a one time course, take it once and it is good for life with the state for coaching. Some other professions mandate that it needs to be done more often. The state says one and done. (You do not need to take the for Educator course)

Concussion Training- this training is done thru the CDC and teaches coaches how to recognize them.

PREFERRED MANAGER/COACH TRAINING

Safety Awareness Training - This is a preferred training that provides volunteers with a broad overview of key safety concepts and best practices that support safe league operations.

First Aid Awareness Training -  This is a preferred training that is designed to introduce volunteers to common injuries, basic first aid principles, and important response considerations specific to the Little League environment.

Umpire Training Course - This is a preferred training that  will teach the basics of umpiring, and aims to encourage and equip prospective and current umpires to take the diamond.




Incident Form - This needs to be filled out if there is an issue at the field and then emailed to the safety officer.
